On Tuesday April 23, 2024, Esha Vaid was awarded the 2024 Outstanding Clinical Area Student Publication at the Psychology End of Year Celebration for her article, “Perceived Racial Discrimination, Poverty-Related Stress, Civic Efficacy, and Psychological Problems in Low Socioeconomic Preadolescents” published in the Journal of Early Adolescence. Esha’s article examined the intersecting experiences of perceived racial discrimination, poverty-related stress (PRS), and civic efficacy with psychological functioning in preadolescents.
